Celebrating the National Trust Heritage Festival 2017. Walk from Turramurra to Pymble Station through its streets, its reserves and its Sheldon Forest that is one of Sydney’s rare forests. Learn how the community continues to defend the endangered Blue Gum High Forest along Sydney’s northern ridgeline that is both a critical bird and wildlife sanctuary as well as being so important for the health, wellbeing and safety for a future city of Sydney. This is a long walk and involves steep hills. Bring hat, water, snack and wear good walking shoes. View

Start 10am from Cromer Rd, allow 4 hours and bring lunch to see great carvings near Red Hill, fantastic views over Narrabeen Lagoon and as typical for this catchment very different vegetation communities. Plant ID as we go. We will walk down to Oxford Falls and carpool back. Bookings needed. Best Walk: Belrose to Narrabeen View

Moving down from Boronia Park along the waterfront of Hunters Hill this is one of the more urban segments of the Great North Walk. We will go along the Lane Cover River, with some lovely views of mangroves on the way. We will continue through open parkland, finishing at the new North Ryde Train Station. Bring: sensible shoes, sunscreen, hat, at least 2 litres of water per person, morning tea.
