Those wanting a shorter (17km) paddle will launch from Swallow Rock Reserve, Grays Point. We will make our way down Hacking River and up SW Arms Ck and into the RNP to the head of waters where we will stop for lunch. After lunch we will take a short walk to Winifred Falls for a possible swim before heading back. • New Event 9:00 for a 9:30 launch at Wants Beach, (near Reids Flat Picnic Area), Riverside Drv , Audley. OR 9:15 for 9:45 launch at Swallow Rock Reserve, Grays Point Tidal. Deep water. Possible wake from motorboats. Participants are to provide their own craft & are required to wear a correctly fitted PFD.

Optional extension to junction of Erskine Creek then return. For anyone not wanting to do the full trip is to lunch below The Rock LO and wait for the return of the craft that went to Erskine Creek. Cross Burroo Bay on Lake Illawarra to enter Macquarie Rivulet and paddle to the weir past mangroves and farmland enjoying abundant birdlife and views of the Illawarra escarpment. Before returning, if conditions are favourable, we will extend the paddle to explore Haywards Bay and Duck Creek.
