Walk along St Georges Basin foreshore, mostly flat and shaded. Track meanders the western shore of the lagoon from The Wool Lane to the Sanctuary Point Boat Ramp, can be extended to Boobook Reserve. Safe swimming spots at Paradise and Palm Beaches. Walk can be shortened with a car shuffle.

Track connects some of the most beautiful beaches, including the famous Hyams Beach and the lovely Greenfield Beach. Wander through shady bushland full of scribbly gums before the path opens up to brilliant white sand and turquoise water. This is a gorgeous walk on a clear path and includes the Scribbly Gum track. Beginning at the museum we follow the path along a cliff-lined stretch of the Kangaroo River’s northern banks. See the pools of Nelson’s Creek and head up to see the beautiful moss garden before heading back towards the museum. Bring morning tea and lunch - explore the folk museum if you wish. A steep but rewarding walk with views of the district.
By starting early we hope to avoid the crowds. The steepest section is now a gentler zig-zag. There are great views from the peak in all directions making the climb worthwhile. We will take a short break on the way up and then have a more extensive break just below the peak on the way down – celebrating all mothers. Bring your own cup and some extra water and the leader will provide hot drinks. Morning tea to share would be great. Lunch back at the cars.
Limit:12 - preference given to Mothers, new members and those who have never been to Pigeon House before. A series of ladders at the top with railings and resting platforms, plenty of encouragement for those queasy with heights.Location: Morton NP Limit: 12. View |

Park at Tabourie Beach, follow the lakeside track and River Road before crossing the highway into Termeil State forest. Stroll along forest tracks and Lemon Tree Road to rejoin the hwy. From Termeil we will drive on the old Highway and Middle Ridge Forest roads to park in a forest clearing. The walk is along remote forest roads and a short but steep bush track to commune with Big Spotty (a magnificent old Spotted Gum recently threatened by proposed logging in the surrounding state forest). Return to the cars via the same route. Coffee afterwards at Lucy’s Café, Bawley Point. Limit: 12.

A mainly downhill walk from lower Durras Mountain to Kioloa.
Following a short car shuffle, we will walk a fire trail onto the lower reaches of Durras Mountain, then descend via walking track to Pretty Beach. We can visit the singing stones and return to Pretty Beach for morning tea. Afterwards we will continue north to Merry Beach via Snapper Point and on to the marine rescue station at Kioloa for lunch. We conclude with an easy stroll along Kioloa Beach to return to the vehicles for afternoon tea. Some sand walking and rock platforms.Location: Murramarang NP Limit: 20. View |
