Canyon | A trip through a canyon (a gully surrounded by tall cliffs).Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long60 Best walks | This is one of the NPA's 60 best walks.(Fully Booked) Sunnyside canyon is essentially a dry canyon although you might get wet feet. It is characterised by some amazing chambers along its length, with Acoustic being the biggest and most spectacular. As you enter the canyon there are some superb pagodas which are also worth exploring too, but the most stunning formation is along the cliffs to the west of the canyon itself. This rocky outlier is called Foxs Wedge and it is indeed a sight to behold! On this trip there will be plenty of time to explore the various nooks and crannies of the concentrated and fascinating location. rock scrambling/offtrack walking

In the Blue mountains are a myriad of waterfalls that are regularly visited by vast numbers of people but hidden away are also plenty of falls that deserve investigation and a visit! One of these is the stunning Edenderry falls on the upper reaches of Govetts creek and thats where i plan to go on this trip. Expect some rock scrambling in parts! rock scrambling

Rising high above the Nattai river valley is the spirelike peak of Bonnum Pic and to get there you travel along this amazing skyline traverse with fantastic views all along the way. I tried to do this walk in May but a hazard reduction burn stopped me, so let's hope we can enjoy this walk at a time when the Spring flowers should be in full bloom. rock scrambling

This walk is the longest completed section (so far) of the new grand walking tour of the Gardens of Stone SCA, a 40 km trail with numerous points of interest and many planned campsites. Spring is in the air so I think well see lots of wildflowers and the views are certain to be stunning.

Accommodation | An activity that involves an overnight stay, using hard-roofed accommodation such as a cabin, hut or hotel.Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long60 Best walks | This is one of the NPA's 60 best walks.(Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) Summertime in the Australian Alps is hard to beat with the wildflowers in full bloom and the almost endless possibilities to walk to your hearts content make it a compelling place to visit. As usual our group will stay in the very comfortable Southern Alps ski lodge at Charlottes Pass over the 5 nights which will allow us to explore the best that Kosciuszko has to offer. The lodge is DIY and has comfortable rooms which can accommodate 1 to 5 people with most rooms being either a double or twin arrangement and all rooms have an ensuite. There is a commercial style kitchen, large dining area, 2 lounges, BBQ and various other rooms to relax in! The rates at this lodge are very reasonable and quite a bit cheaper than adjacent lodges! As this is usually my most popular trip that I organise each year I’d advise you to contact me to be added to the booking list as there are only so many bedrooms available. As on previous years there will be several leaders to choose from and a wide range of hikes available from grade 2 to 5.
