A wonderful walk through bush, heath and rocky platforms above cliffs with spell-binding views, Beginning at Bundeena we walk past the Balconies and Wedding Cake Rock and on to Marley Headland for a spectacular view down the coast, before retracing our steps. (NEW!!!) Meet at Leura Station, drive to the end of Mt Hay Road and explore tracks including Butterbox Track and Mt Hay. Majestic Views at the start of the walk and on Butterbox Track. Probably the best view overlooking the top of the Blue Mountains. No views at the top of Mt Hay, too much vegetation but great view at various points along the track. Steep and slippery sections. An out and back walk from Hawkesbury River Station to Kangaroo Point incorporating the Brooklyn Boardwalk and Hornsby Council’s new Kangaroo Point Boardwalk. Easy, level walking along footpaths and boardwalks with scenic views of the Hawkesbury River. If there is interest, we can add an extra 1.5km loop to Parsley Bay after we return to Hawkesbury River Station. Steps, occasional car traffic. Location: Hawkesbury River Limit: 15. View

(Nearly fully booked) Meeting at Circular Quay Wharf 5 at 9:40am to catch the F8 ferry to Birchgrove from where we will walk mainly around the foreshore of the Balmain peninsula and conclude at the London Hotel (1870 - one of the longest operating pubs in Sydney) for lunch in a private room overlooking the city. Those who have walked with our group are welcome to attend. Booking is essential giving your NPA, mobile and emergency numbers, unless I already have them. Meet leader at Wharf 5, Circular Quay. LEADER: Philip Wright Sheldon Forest Circuit walk The track meanders through the beautiful bushland of Sheldon Forest, along ridge tops, through open forest on the hill slopes and down to the creek side, following a stream that boasts a number of small waterfalls. The forest is one of the few remaining pieces of the Blue Gum high forest in the Sydney Basin. It is of high conservation status because it contains some of the last remnants of the endangered ecological communities. Echidnas, bowerbirds, water dragons, golden whistlers, pardalotes and powerful owls have been seen. We will check out Rofe Park as well. Steep and slippery sections Limit: 10. View
