 Blue Mountains National Park: The Canyon and Pagodas between Scatters Canyon and Hailstorm Retreat. Partly exploratory. Park the cars at the end of Waratah Ridge Road; walk on the old fire trail and track to GR 510 016. From here, head W and explore two narrow pagoda studded ridges E and above Scatters Canyon. After that, descend into the unnamed canyon and follow it to the Bungleboori. Use the magnificent Hailstorm Retreat to ascend back to the track. This is going to be a challenging and wild adventure. Scrambling, exposure, wet feet and more.
