Canyon | A trip through a canyon (a gully surrounded by tall cliffs).60 Best walks | This is one of the NPA's 60 best walks.Sunnyside Ridge - Number 8 Lookout - Wombat Canyon - Sonntag Retreat - Fern Gully Ridge - Fire trail No 8. A great introduction to canyons, no abseils, a beautiful little canyon, some scrambling, possible wet feet. Track, off-track with mild scrub, creek walking, minor scrambling. Limit: 10. Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPerrys Lookdown to Lockley Pylon... and back. Two of the best climbs in the Blue Mountains IMHO, around 30%, each over 2km (and descents to weaken the strongest knees). Tremendous views, via Blue Gum Forest, river crossing - log bridge or wade. Camp | An activity that involves an overnight stay, usually in a tent.Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longLee Creek and Duet Saddle in Bylong Labyrinth. Co-leader Ian Thorpe. Drive on Friday night to Kandos or camp near the walk start. Early start on Saturday morning. Day 1. Drive one car GR 390 853 and another one to GR 388 816 on Nullo Mountain Road. From the second car, take a ridge W to Lee Creek. Take water and climb into Duet Saddle. Our progress from here will depend on the available time, but we will try to get to as close as possible or to the Goat Mountain. Establish high camp. About 8k. Day 2. Make our way N to Lee Creek, then up onto Tal Tal Range, follow it SE and descend into Bylong River; then walk E to the first car. Private property access will be arranged. About 12k. This is a recce walk for the planned Wollemi traverse. Exploratory. Limit: 8. Map: Growee View
