  The Goulburn River is a delight to walk along with its grassy banks, colourful cliff lines and a good campsite at Spring Gully to welcome the weary walker! Also the bird and mammal life is quite diverse with many species worth searching out. This is quite an easy backpack suitable for someone new to overnight camping. A bit of off-track from the river to White Box Camp. Location: Goulburn River NP Map: Mount Misery 89333N and Killoe 89334S Limit: 15.

Meet at 9am at the Parkes Lions Park. Medium, 8 kilometres. Walkers are reminded to bring along enough food and water for the entire day as well as suitable clothing, footwear, hat and sunscreen. A pair of good binoculars and a fold up chair is recommended. Please contact the listed walk leader the night before the walk if you intend to come. A $2.00 donation for each walker is appreciated.

  Day 1. Drive to Mount Coricudgy. With water for the day, walk to Middle Hill and set camp at around GR 541 694. Explore the nearby area that shows a couple of interesting slots. About 10km. Day 2. Find a way down into the creek to the north, explore a possible volcanic ‘neck’ on the way, then descend into Blackwater Creek. Take water, climb a ridge to the west and walk back to the camp. About 10km. Day 3. Find a way down into the creek to the south and follow it to Blackwater Creek, exploring a number slots along the way. Walk up Blackwater Creek and find an exit at around GR 545 658. Walk the ridge and then the trail back to the cars. About 12km. Exploratory. Scrambling and exposure. Location: Wollemi NP Map: Coricudgy 89322N Limit: 8.

  Save Kosci walk: day 1. Day 1 is a slow-paced 12km in about 6 hours including a buy-your-own lunch in vibrant King Street. Footpaths, some main roads, lots of quiet suburban streets. At day’s end, walk 800 metres to Canterbury Train Station to return to your accommodation.
