After crossing the rivulet there is an indistinct track which leads to Balancing Rock and a lovely waterfall. Return is by the same route. Rough track, slippery creek crossings, steep sections. (Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) From Bowral Pool we depart at 8:30am which is one hour earlier than normal departure time. We drive to Safari Kayaking located in Kangaroo Valley arriving around 9’ish where we select our kayaks/canoes and life jackets. Kangaroo Safari transport our boats to Bendeela and the car pool follows on. Once set up and in the water, we head upstream for about 3km to a lunch spot and then make our way back to Bendeela where our boats are returned to Safari Kayaking and we drive back to Bowral. The cost per person for boat hire is $45 (TBC) cash payable on the day. Please have the right amount of cash as we need to make a single payment. Cossies, hat, sunscreen and plenty of drinking water will be the go. Mostly still water. Possibility of one short section with quick flow if river is flowing. This patch of Cumberland Plain Woodland has faced some major issues in managing weeds over the years but is an important remnant and much work has been done. Come and see how it is going. We might even end up looking at the Casula Powerhouse Museum after the walk! Limit: 12. View
