It is certainly cold enough to be a Northern Hemisphere Xmas.   Bring some food and drinks to share at the Kokoda picnic shelter. You can even purchase them in Rhodes, without having to prepare them at home.  There is a Woolworths opposite Rhodes station. There is also Coles and other take away food in Rhodes shopping centre and cafes close by. After the Christmas in July picnic lunch, there will be two walks. 1. We will walk the Kokoda Memorial walkway to Olwen's Corner and follow along the river to Rocky Point and Major's Bay then return. 12 km 2. We continue to Cabarita to catch the ferry.  8km View

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFully Vaccinated | All participants must be able to show proof they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to particpate.(Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) Gibbergunyah Nature Reserve is between Bowral and Mittagong.  The walk takes in views of Mt Gibraltar (Highest point between Sydney and Canberra), Ninety Acre Hill Lookout and a track which winds through a beautiful fern gully. The track is sometimes overgrown and difficult to locate. Hazards: Rough track, steep sections, slippery rocks and unfenced cliff edges.
