This remote area first aid course is specifically designed to meet the first aid needs of bushwalkers, wilderness guides, and people who work or live in remote locations. The course covers everything from comprehensive first aid treatments to aeromedical evacuation, long-term care, self-care, and contingency planning. This course is focused on the safety of the first aider and extended care of an ill or injured casualty where help is likely to be delayed or inaccessible. The water is a great for paddling and swimming if it is hot, or just explore the banks upstream. Return by the same route. BYO lunch and cup!

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longSlow pace | A trip where the leader will set an easy pace.Walk follows a bush trail alongside Middle Lake to Middle Beach, then north to Penders (Wapengo Lake estuary) Circuit will continue along fire trails back to Haighs Road.  Option to swim at Wapengo Lake estuary. Penders has a previous history with occupation by the Grounds and Myer families. The property was gifted to the people of NSW as part of Mimosa Rocks National Park and the culturally significant buildings are now managed by NPWS Track narrow & steep in parts. Wear suitable clothing for ticks.
