Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFully Vaccinated | All participants must be able to show proof they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to particpate.Public Transport | There are public transport options to and from this activity.This walk starts at Pioneer Park in Malabar. It follows marked tracks and board walks north through some wonderfully revegetated windblown coastal scrub to reach the southern end of Maroubra Beach. From there the track leads south along sandstone clifftops, providing spectacular views for which the Malabar Headland is known. We will keep an eye out for Humpback whales migrating north. Hazards: Cliff tops.

Lots of river stone/rock walking cause they are mostly in gorges. Not long walks. 30 to 34 Deg every day. Down to 10-12 deg some nights so camping gets cool. Campfires. Coolest nights July. Number of walkers depends on number of cars. If driver please state number of car seats available e.g. 1 driver +3 passengers. If needing a lift please state this. Meet Springwood Station north side car park to allocate cars. Drive to end of White Cross Road (5-6k). Walk Shaws Ridge Fire trail, up Bees Nest Hill. Out to Grose Head Lookout, good views. Then Springwood Ridge Fire trail to St Columbas grounds. Track down to grotto and finish where we started. Steep, rough , muddy. Limit: 15. View
