If you're looking for a scenic workout, the Bilgola Plateau loop is a great walk. This walk follows a good track to climb from Newport Beach through Attunga Reserve, with views over the coastline. It descends a little before climbing steeply through the breathtaking rainforest gully in the Crown of Newport Reserve. Suburban roads lead up the Bilgola Plateau and a glimpse of Pittwater . The walk returns downhill with a steady descent through beautiful Angophora Reserve, then steeply to a stand of Cabbage Tree Palms. The optional return to Newport is via Bilgola Beach and South Bilgola Headland. Many steps (up & down), slippery when wet; one busy street crossing Location: Newport Map: Bilgola Limit: 14.
