Graham will then discuss Indigenous food sources and we visit a large midden in the reserve robbed by Europeans in the 19th century. Archaeologists Greg Jackson and Pam Forbes will lead us to several local sites of European importance including the first crossing of lower Georges River in 1843. Lloyd Hedges will then explain the quite unusual local flora. Morning tea will be kindly provided by Menai Wildflower Group. People who do not wish to do the optional walk can meet Graham in Delardes Reserve, Griffin Parade, Illawong at 10:00. The entry to Delardes Reserve is near the western end of Griffin Parade.
