8 Jul, Mon 9:45AM Malabar Headland Circuit & Whale Watching
Grade:2/6 Length 8km  90m Sydney Branch
John H.
Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPhotography | A trip that has a strong focus on encouraging people to capture photographs.Public Transport | There are public transport options to and from this activity.(Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) We will be circumnavigating this national park with its contrasting vegetation. We will get excellent views over the sea, where we will hopefully spot some whales, as this is peak whale watching season. On the Malabar side, we will be passing by the bay that featured in the 2022 ABC TV drama "Significant Others". You can preview the walk at https://www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/australia/new-south-wales/malabar-headlands-track?mobileMap=false&initFlyover=true&flyoverReturnToTrail. Booking essential, giving your NPA, mobile and emergency contact numbers, unless I already have them. Track is fairly exposed so there is not much protection from the wind. There are steps and rough rocks to traverse and can be unpleasant odours from the WWTP.
