Newnes State Forest: Edmund Falls and Carne Creek Gorge between FT3 and FT2. After inspecting Edmund Falls, descend underneath the cliffs into Edmund Creek, walk SW and find a way down into Carne Creek. Follow the creek S to about GR 424 077 and check out a cave at that location. Continue underneath Lurline Jack Lookout and come up at about GR 428 073 to reconnect with the first car. About 4k, but don't be fooled by the short distance. S323EQ. Hazards: Exploratory. Scrambling and exposure. Limit:10.
