(CHANGE OF DATE FROM 21 NOV) Newnes State Forest: Wild Gorge, Dome Cave and Pinch Point Circle. Find out why this area must be protected for future generations. Park at GR 396 071 and walk east to the head of a tributary of Wild Gorge at about GR 401 070. Descend it, visiting Dome Cave along the way, then explore both branches of the gorge, including Pinch Point Circle. Move south east and out towards Carne Creek. Walk along the creek for a short distance, then climb back up on the ridge at around GR 408 068. Re-connect with the cars. If time allows, visit Tagine Point on the way out. Spectacular scenery.
