This is a stage of the proposed long distance track, the Great River Walk down the Hawksesbury. This is largely off track and the going will be slow but we travel through rarely walked country with the river on both sides of us. Will the Waratahs be in flower yet. Roger has been documenting fire impacts in this area for many years. Old clothes best as the plants are still covered in soot. Mainly off-track. Burnt sticks can pierce walking shoes. One short steep climb down a rock face. Swamp crossing through cutting grass and saw sedge. Limit: 8. Map: Wollangambe View
