(Cancelled) The GRNC1 crosses the great southern section of Grande Terre, the main island of New Caledonia and takes bushwalkers on a journey of a variety of habitats from tropical beaches to towering rainforests, waterfalls galore and scenic mountain ridges, making this truly a walk in paradise. There are walkers huts at each campsite and we will travel through the Blue River Provincial Park for a large section of the walk. Almost all of the flora and fauna is endemic to the island which makes this walk very special. Location: Blue River provincial Park Map: Alltrails Limit: 14.

500m |
Sydney Branch |

(Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) Point Cameron is a great destination, but the journey there is quite astonishing. This is a long, at times challenging walk through some of the best scenery the Gardens of Stone has to offer. First we must trudge through a kilometre or two of thick scrub, but our payoff is an extended cliff and pagoda top walk high above the eastern side of the Capertee Valley. On our way, we will see Jamison Pass, the Plain of Shards, Ngamperi Rock (the original Nipple Rock) and the Pondage Canyon. Time permitting, we can also drop in on Stargate Tunnel on our return. Off-track. Location: Gardens of Stone NP Map: Ben Bullen 89314S Limit: 8.
